Nirvana baby recreates iconic album-cover 25 years on

Many grew up listening to Nirvana's breakthrough album Nevermind, and that's the same for the naked baby who graces the cover.

That baby - Spencer Elden - is all grown up himself and has recreated the famous underwater shot to mark the 25th anniversary of the album's release
- but with clothes on, despite his requests.

Now an artist in Los Angeles, 25-year-old Elden said he wanted to accurately recreate the photo, but the photographer didn't agree.

"I said to the photographer, 'Let's do it naked.' But he thought that would be weird, so I wore my swim shorts," he told The New York Post.

"The anniversary means something to me. It's strange that I did this for five minutes when I was four months old and it became this really iconic image."

But the famous image had very humble beginnings, with Elden's dad Rick telling NPR he was only paid $200 for it by photographer Kirk Weddle.
