A kids' footwear company has been getting a lot of publicity and attention lately - but not exactly in the best way.
The company Pee Wee Pumps have been selling soft stiletto-inspired shoes so babies can look like they're wearing high heels. Available in various prints and colours, the shoes are intended to be a fashion accessory.
But parents have complained that the shoes "sexualise" babies - one commenting to Facebook page 'Let Clothes Be Clothes', "Sorry but this is sick! Children should be allowed to be children."
However the creator of Pee Wee Pumps insists that she doesn't take the comments seriously.
"It's like putting a baby into a cute romper or tutu — it's an accessory and there's no more to it," she told Footwear News.
