We all love chocolate, now some research has given us a reason to love it even more!
A recent study has shown that eating chocolate (in moderation) can have great health benefits for your heart.
The study took place over 13 year. Participants were given different amounts of chocolate to consume over a certain period of time. Their hearts were then monitored and recorded.
The researchers found that participants who ate either two to six servings of chocolate a week, one a week or one to three servings a month, had a lower risk of developing irregular heart issues than those who ate less than one piece of chocolate per month.
They also found that those who ate larger doses of chocolate tended to be smarter and also noted that there may be some outside factors contributing to the results and called for more research.
