Many parents have their own, different techniques to put their baby to sleep. Some will rock their child back and forth, others like to try to sing lullabies. But for one dad Kevin Payne, his sleep technique is his job.
How does that work? Kevin works as a Technology Resiliency Manager. And no one really knows what that is - especially his young son Carter.
So as he cradles his baby in his arms, he then begins a very detailed description of what his job truly entails.
But by the time he gets to describing the production shut-downs, little Carter’s eyelids are already very heavy.
Kevin said: “Carter is not a good sleeper and I cannot carry a tune so rather than sing him to sleep I just talk about work until he drifted off.”
So next time that go-to lullaby isn’t working, give your kids a good chat about your job description may be more effective.
