Drinking wine before bed can help you lose weight according to science

Put down those dumbbells and dust off (who are we kidding, we used it last night) the bottle opener, there's a new weight loss regime in town.

Scientists are claiming that two glasses of wine before bed could actually help you lose weight. It's a win win.

Yep, you read that right. There may be a legitimate reason to guzzle a couple of glasses of Pinot at the end of a long day.

The studies come from Washington State University and Harvard Medical School and explain that there is a polyphenol called "reservatrol" in red wine that lends us a hand in the weight loss department.

This "reservatrol" converts white fat into "obesity-fighting" beige fat, which is much easier for the body to break down.
