Boys earn more money from chores than girls says study

We've all heard of the gender pay gap in the workplace, but according to a new study a pay gap exsists for kids too!

The study showed that boys were paid more for good behaviour and chores than girls. On average boys earn around $15 a week for chores with girls earning roughly $5 less on $10 a week.

But it's not all good news for the kids, the same study also revealed that some parents weren't afraid to take the money back from them. 18% of parents fine their kids for not completing household chores and 15% will take pocket money back if their kids are naughty at school.

Although money was found to be the biggest motivator for kids, chocolate, chips and staying up late also ranked highly.
