Bride & groom argue if they should screen the FIFA World Cup at their wedding

A bride and groom overseas are having a debate about whether or not they should screen the FIFA World Cup at their wedding. The groom and his friends are keen to watch the football but the bride doesn't share his enthusiasm.

One of the guests took to NetMums to see what other people thought.

"She has put her heart and soul into planning every detail and bless her, all the men, including the groom are desperate to watch the flaming football." the woman wrote.

"It’s going to ruin her day isn’t it? Especially if they lose, I don’t know what to say to her, what does she do? Too late to postpone it!"

People were quick to chime in with their views on the matter...

"Surely her husband knew the World Cup was going to be on when they arranged the date of the wedding? He should have said to arrange it for after the World Cup if he wanted to watch it so much." one person said.

Some were a bit more blunt in their view. "I think if her husband cares more about watching football she shouldn’t be marrying him."

But others didn't think it was such a big deal and suggested the bride should compromise.

"I went to a wedding years ago during an England world cup match, they just pushed the meal back and everyone watched the match. Was actually really good as everyone got to chill out, relax and enjoy a drink." one person added.

"I feel very sorry for your friend but I think they are going to have to embrace the football and fit it into the day some how. Otherwise she seriously risks a very depleted crowd of people and the men particularly disappearing at regular intervals or constant messing with phones." another pointed out.

What would you suggest the bride and groom to do?
