Breast cancer survivors around the country are calling for the Breast Cancer Foundations latest advertising campaign to pulled from TV and radio.
The ads message "breast cancer is contagious. It touches the whole family" has prompted complaints to the Advertising Standards Authority.
The Breast Cancer Foundation has been forced to alter a breast cancer campaign after the multiple complaints.
They also put out a message on their social media platform acknowledging the feedback and backlash they had received saying that they "wanted to show the far-reaching effects that breast cancer has on a family, and to grab the attention of the 30% of women who aren’t getting mammograms, since we know mammograms save lives."
The Breast Cancer Foundation apologised and were met with words of thanks from the Facebook community.
