How is this for getting the nostalgia pumping!?

The original illustrator for Roald Dahl's iconic novels has reimagined one of the most iconic heroines of the late 80's/90's as a 30 year old woman.

The pictures are done in Quentin Blake's traditional style and shows Matilda Wormwood/Honey all grown up in a series of potential and very likely careers, from astrophysicist to poet to Hollywood special effects expert, adventurer to head of the prestigious British Library.

The drawings by the 85 year old illustrator were created for The Roald Dahl Story Company who are celebrating 30 years of Matilda.

The book first came out in 1988 and was followed by an incredible 1996 film starring Mara Wilson who played the role all of us wanted to be so badly.

A huge 17 million copies of Roald Dahl's classic novel has been sold since its release.

The Roald Dahl Museum in rural England also unveiled an anniversary statue of Matilsa, being her rebellious self and staring down Donald Trump.
