Being lazy might be a sign of high intelligence says study

A new study from the US has found a link between people who are lazier and high levels of intelligence.

The results showed that people with high IQs tended to get bored less easily and spent more time engaged in meaningful thought.

On the flipside, people with low IQs often get out and about more and keep themselves busy as their brains need to be stimulated often.

One of the researchers added that although it may be natural for people with high IQs to be lazy and less active, it's important for them to find ways to keep physically active.

"Ultimately, an important factor that may help more thoughtful individuals combat their lower average activity levels is awareness." they said.

"Awareness of their tendency to be less active, coupled with an awareness of the cost associated with inactivity, more thoughtful people may then choose to become more active throughout the day."

So next time you find yourself feeling guilty for sitting on the couch binge-watching your favourite Netflix show, just think it might be a sign of your high intelligence!
