A recent study from the European Society of Cardiology has found taking regular breaks from work is key to living longer.
The results of the research showed that those who took less than 3 weeks of annual leave a year were almost 40% more likely to have a shorter lifespan than people who holidayed more often.
"In our study, men with shorter vacations worked more and slept less than those who took longer vacations." one of the researchers said.
"Don’t think having an otherwise healthy lifestyle will compensate for working too hard and not taking holidays," he added. "Vacations can be a good way to relieve stress."
If you haven't already, it sounds like it might be time to book the next holiday in!
