A young boy's letter to Anne Hegerty (aka The Governess) from the TV game show 'The Chaser' has gone viral online.
The young boy called the usually terrifying Anne a 'hero' after she spoke candidly about her autism. She wasn't diagnosed with autism until she was in her 40s
The boy's mother said that her son has quite a few struggles with his own autism, especially socially.
"He sees his autism quite negatively sometimes, so was pleased to see someone with autism doing something like that for a job." his mum said.
He was so amazed to see someone else with autism doing such great things that he felt he needed to let Anne know how seeing her on TV made him feel.
The boy started his letter by telling Anne she was 'very clever' and then praised her bravery.
"Some people are mean to me because I am autistic but watching you makes me see that other people can have autism too and maybe I can have a cool job like you when I am older."
Looks like The Governess might have a much softer side after all!
