Let's be honest, Christmas is a very overwhelming time of year. And if you have the means to do so, it can be easy to go a little over the top (especially if you are a parent or grandparent of young kids!).
And that is exactly what happened to Kristy Nowak, an Australian mum who accumulated Christmas presents for her kids over the year. It wasn't until the time came time to wrap the gifts that she realised her haul as she emptied out 14 cupboards worth of presents.
Posting to Facebook, Kristy revealed the gifts she brought her 3 kids over the last 5 or so months.
The post sparked backlash from other parents once posted in a parenting Facebook group, with many calling Kristy's haul 'excessive'.
"Oh dear... a bit much. I'd be saving for some birthdays." one commenter wrote.
However, the Australian mother hit back saying she refused to let people "guilt trip" her for splashing out.
"I’m usually not this organised," she explained.
"A few years ago I left it to the last four days and panicked. I swore I’d never do that again."
She added that she "loathes" wrapping presents - not ideal given the amount she's got to get through.
