Girls with nagging mums are more likely to end up more successful

Science has revealed that those with mums who have rather high expectations turn out to be more successful than those who don't.

The stats come from researchers at the University of Essex, who studied 15,500 girls aged between 13 and 14 for a period of seven years. They found that girls whose mothers had high expectations of their behavior were more likely to go to uni, earn a higher salary and end up with successful partners. They were also less likely to become teen mums.

So next time you are the subject of your mum's rant, just take it on the chin as it could mean you will be a lot more successful in the long run.
