Marie Kondo's method of tidying up has taken the world by storm, but not everyone who has used the technique to clean up their lives is happy with the result...
A lot of people have started sharing their biggest regreats after 'Marie-Kondo-ing' their lives.
"Years ago I Kondo'd my flat, or ‘had a bloody good chuck out’ as it was known then. I got rid of bags and bags of stuff." one person wrote online.
"Almost immediately I regretted it. I now hate getting rid of anything (but occasionally do force myself to part with stuff). I then spend the next 6 months looking for an item that I'd forgotten I'd got rid of."
Another woman added that her "darling husband read Marie Kondo and has gone over to the dark side. Nothing I do in terms of folding or storing is right anymore!"
"I tried the Japanese method of decluttering," someone else began by saying.
"You hold every object that you own and if it does not bring you joy, you throw it away. So far I have thrown all the vegetables, my bra, the electric bill, the scales, a mirror and my treadmill."
So while it seems that lots of people have found value in Marie's tips - others have struggled to find the worth in it.
