Here's one for parents whose kids can often be a bit stubborn...
A new study has found that kids who show signs of "rule-breaking and defiance of parental authority" are more likely to earn more money later in life.
The researchers said that it largely came down to the fact that defiant kids would more than likely grow into adults who would be more "willing to be more demanding during critical junctures such as when negotiating salaries or raises."
But they also pointed out that the defiance isn't always the most positive way to get a pay raise. "We also cannot rule out that individuals who are likely or willing to break rules get higher pay for unethical reasons." they added.
So while your kid's defiance might give you a headache now - it could pay off down the track!
