A wedding is, traditionally, all about the bride and groom. Guests, bridesmaids and groomsmen are often very careful not too upstage the newlyweds and always tend to be well behaved.
But one wedding guest decided to throw all those unwritten rules out of the wedding and asked some Facebook friends if she could wear a certain dress that had been hanging in her closet for a while.
"Have to attend a wedding in about 3 weeks. I own this dress and I've never worn it yet. Is it too much for a wedding?" the woman asked.
Her post was then shared on the That's It, I'm Wedding Shaming Facebook group where horrified users have accused the woman of trying to upstage the bride on her big day.
The little black dress with clear cut sides held together by sequin belts did not recieve one comment in support of it being a good idea to wear to her friends wedding.
"Not at all appropriate." one wrote.
"No, no, no!" said another.
