Here's some news that new parents probably don't want to hear... Smarter babies tend to cry more and sleep less!
An expert in infant health and development from the University of Bristol, Professor Peter Flemminng told Buzzfeed that there is a link between "very high levels of developmental and intellectual achievement and not sleeping throughout the night."
"Human infants are not designed to sleep for long periods, it’s not good for them, and there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that there is any benefit to anybody from having a child that sleeps longer and consistently," he reveals.
"That’s not perhaps what most parents would like to hear."
So if your restless bubba is giving you grief now - at least it might pay off later in life!
