These single mums got tired of struggling on their own - so they decided to move in together!

Four mums from Maryland, USA - Herrin Hopper, Leandra Nichola, Holly Harper and Jen Jacobs; were struggling amongst the pandemic, divorces and loss. And when Holly and Herrin, two good friends who were both divorced, realised how logistically difficult it was getting to live on their own, they decided they should live together.

"Holly and I said, 'Why not do this?'" Herrin told Today. "Within a weekend we found this house."

The two single mums found another two women to share the four-unit house with, and they consider their non-traditional extended family living a great support network, with the children often hanging out with each other or playing on their shared trampoline.

Each of the families splits the cost of household expenses, and they hold regular monthly meetings to discuss conflicts, which they say are "rare" due to their strong female dynamics.

"Every Monday night is garbage night. And probably once a month, I do it, cause someone else hs done it. And it's like, "Oh my God, I live with women!"

Their 'Siren House', which has also helped Leandra open her own cafe, will now look to invest in another house in hopes of helping other women.
