Consumer NZ's annual supermarket price survey has revealed New Zealand's cheapest supermarket is Pak'nSave.
The survey studied prices of 30 popular grocery items over a seven-week period at Countdown, New World and Pak'nSave.
Pak'nSave came out as the cheapest store in each of the six centres where prices were observed.
"Prices were a lot closer at New World and Countdown, so Pak'nSave certainly remains the country's cheapest supermarket," said Consumer NZ's chief executive Sue Chetwin.
She said the result means Pak'nSave retains the spot it has held in almost every survey over the past 15 years.
