Adele's sold-out concerts break New Zealand records

24/11/2016
Adele hasn't set foot in the country but already has set three New Zealand records ahead of her tour.

After two of Adele's New Zealand shows sold out within 23 minutes today, promoters announced a third New Zealand show where tickets for that show were done in under 30 minutes.

So if you blinked and missed it - the only way to get Adele tickets is through the limited VIP packages at ticketmaster.co.nz, or through us!

The speed of the ticket sales broke New Zealand records, and Adele has now become the new holder of:

- The fastest selling tour in New Zealand by an artist
- The most number of shows sold for performances by any artist at Mt Smart Stadium
- The highest number of tickets sold in one day - in excess of 100,000

New Zealand's largest ever single concert is still debated between David Bowie's 1983 Western Springs concert, where it was rumoured to be 83,000 fans in attendance, or ZZ Top's 1987 Western Springs concert where over 80,000 fans attended.

The most recent artist to set a record was Beyonce, where she had the highest audience attendance at Vector Arena by a solo artist attracting 44,596 tickets sold across four shows.
