REPOROA VALLEY SCHOOLS CLUSTER CULTURAL FESTIVAL 2012.  Friday 15th June at the Reporoa College hall commencing at 8.30am.  Entry is by gold coin donation.  Over 350 students from Reporoa Kindergarten, Te Kohanga Reo o Reporoa, Broadlands, Lake Rerewhakaaitu, Waikite Valley, Mihi and Reporoa primary schools will be taking part in what has become an annual kapa haka event.  Everyone is welcome along.

PLUNKET NOTICE: Andrew Newton is a hypnotist and has a show on Sunday, May 27th at the Millenium Hotel. Tickets are $20 and when purchased through Plunket Rotorua, $10 of the ticket price comes back to us. Tickets are available from Louise or Zara at the Plunket office on Pukuatua St, or you can give them a call on 350 1517.

Dress for Success is a group who “promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.” and they are looking for volunteers to help them who are keen to work a 4 hour shift, from 10am - 2pm, weekdays,  they can volunteer for one day per month (minimum) or as many times a week as they would like.  The work involves sorting and ironing clothes, jewellery and accessories that have been donated, maintaining the showroom, and working with clients who come in for an hour long appointment to be dressed in appropriate job interview attire prior to their interview.  The volunteers should ideally have an interest in fashion or a sense of flair.  They need to be confident, happy and positive, as our service is not just about the clothes, it is the advice, tips and self esteem boost that are given throughout the appointment as well as the clothes that increase our clients chances of having a successful interview and securing the job.

Every Monday at 7.15pm, with the exception of public holidays, the RSA are hosting an indoor Bowling Club night at their clubrooms on Haupapa Street.  The closing night will be Monday October 8th.
