These 20 common foods practically contain no calories

It's the New Year and I'm sure many of us have the same resolution to get healthy! Scientists have found 20 fruits and vegetables to help kick-start the healthy eating.

These foods supposedly take more energy to eat and digest than the calories they actually contain. 

However, nutritionists are divided on whether this is a real thing or not.

Lisa Moskovitz, a food expert, says "A basic rule of nutrition is 'if it sounds too good to be true, it is.'"

Dr Donald Hensrud from the Mayo Clinic had more positive thoughts on the concept saying, "Foods that contain few calories, such as celery and other non-starchy vegetables, provide a small number of calories but still require energy to digest".
