Husbands, thank your wives!
Research has found intelligent women can challenge a man’s brain to stay active long into its elderly years.
In a dementia study from the University of Aberdeen, it was discovered intellectual stimulation that keeps a brain active will repel symptoms of dementia.
While previous research focused on the benefits of activities like crosswords, reading and visiting museums, this research focused on identical twins and found that those who were married to an intellectual lady were better protected against Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
Professor Lawrence Whalley, from the University of Aberdeen, said: “The thing a boy is never told he needs to do if he wants to live a longer life – but what he should do – is marry an intelligent woman. There is no better buffer than intelligence.”
Brains over beauty any day!
