Have you ever wondered what the number one complaint in most relationships is?
Well now we have the answer, thanks to Marriage Therapist Corrin Voeller.
In a video posted on TikTok, @corrinthecounselor shares that the most common complaint in a relationship is the need to nag their partners about household chores.
The main thing that makes a household function, right?
Voeller said that this is an example of "active responsibility" versus "passive responsibility."
Here is the difference between the two.
Active Responsibility: Is taking action by looking around the house for things you could do and taking responsibility for the things that need to happen within the house to make it function.
Passive Responsibility: Is being ready and available to help but waiting for somebody to tell you what needs to be done!
Men who adopt a passive approach, when it comes to household and childcare responsibilities are the most common complaint Voeller hears from women about their marriages.
It is a real gem to find an active approach & to everyone who struck gold with an active partner - We salute you!
