Bowel Screening Programme Launch - 12:00pm - 5:30pm, Thursday 16 August - Liz Davidson Place, Celebrate the launch of the life-saving National Bowel Screening Programme in the Nelson Marlborough region. Walk through a gigantic inflatable colon (bowel) to see what happens on the inside. See a demonstration of the test kit.

Registration will be open on the day from 7:30am. Registration will close 15 minutes before your event starts. Further details will be emailed out to entrants prior to the event. Enter via Eventfinda or at AvantiPlus Blenheim.

Daffodil Vehicle Display for Cancer - Sunday 26 August - Brawshaw Park, Entry is $5 per vehicle and a gold coin for the general public. All proceeds will go to the local cancer society.

Public Meeting - Earthquake Information Update - 5:30pm, Wednesday 29 August - ASB Theatre Marlborough, Marlborough residents are invited to a public meeting to hear more about the latest earthquake research findings. There will be time for questions from the public. Doors open at 5:30pm, with speakers starting at 6:30pm. Entry is by gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to the New Zealand Red Cross. 

The British Empire Strikes Bach - 7:00pm - 10:00pm, Saturday 1 September - ASB Theatre Marlborough, The Marlborough Civic Orchestra conducted by David Brooks, with concertmaster Karla Norton, brings you a variety concert with fabulous music from Britain. Taylor River Public Tree Planting - 10:00am - 12:00pm, Sunday 2 September - Taylor River Reserve, Come and help plant trees along the Taylor River in the Ralph Ballinger Arboretum, celebrating trees of the world. Please bring a spade and sturdy boots and enjoy a BBQ afterwards. Postponed if wet to September 9.
