After Ed Sheeran's polarizing appearance on Game of Thrones, even he knows that nobody wants him back on the show.
The episode, which in July, featured a cameo of the 'Shape of You' hitmaker as a Lannister soldier - an appearance that caused widespread outrage from the fantasy TV show's fans.
Well GoT fans need not be worried, as Sheeran says he knows nobody is keen to see his character again, and in fact he's probably dead.
"We were all quite young, those soldiers," Sheeran told MTV News. "I doubt I'm going to survive for that long, to be honest, when there are dragons in the world."
He said he's glad that he took the gig, which was a "very easy yes", but says he's acutely aware of the fact that there aren't exactly Thrones maniacs out there clamouring for his return.
"No one wants to see me come back," he said. "I wanted to be a cameo in it, and I've done the cameo."
"I'm cool with it, though. I enjoyed it."
Jeremy Podeswa, the man who directed the first episode of the new season and thought up Sheeran's cameo, has voiced his shock at the criticism.
"I think Ed did a lovely job - he's a lovely actor and a lovely person. He was appropriate for the part because he needed to sing," he told Newsweek.
