Last night saw two couples from Married at First Sight NZ call quits on their relationships. It had been a bumpy ride for these couples, so some might not be too surprised!
The first couple to call it quits were Ottie & Gareth. These two struggled with the fact that Ottie was clear in the fact she doesn't want children while Gareth was keen to have them one day. Ottie also cited their conflicting moral values as another reason for their split.
The pair challenged the experts as to why they were put together in the first place with Ottie describing her husband as being like "buying a Big Mac and it having no sauce."
Ottie opted to leave but Gareth was keen to stick it out. The experts said their relationship was too far gone to repair.
The next couple to call it quits were Wayne and Ksenia. These two were basically on the rocks from the beginning. Tensions showed signs of rising on their wedding day but really took to another level on their honeymoon.
During the group therapy session, Ksenia cited the fact that Wayne refused to take photos of her under a tree as being a problem in their married life.
Both Wayne and Ksenia chose to leave the relationship.
We'll have to wait and see if these other couples make it to the end of the experiment.
