Just days after Hugh Jackman opened the BRIT Awards with a performance of 'The Greatest Showman', director Michael Gracey has confirmed he's working on a sequel to the popular movie musical 'The Greatest Showman'.
Speaking to The Sun, Gracey confirmed the plans. "When a movie becomes as big a success as this, it’s only natural there is demand for a sequel."
"So those discussions have started and we are working on one right now."
Fans of Hugh Jackman will also be pleased to hear that he'll be reprising his role of P.T Barnam for the sequel.
Speaking about the development of the original film, Darcey said to begin with "there were huge doubts about it for a very long time and some backers withdrew their money.”
"The critics hated it and it was predicted to be a massive flop. But then people power took over and there hasn’t been a box office sensation like it in years."
Even though there's no release date yet, we already can't wait for this one!
