Ellen DeGeneres has recieved an incredible award at the 2020 Golden Globe awards in honour of her iconic and trailblazing work in television.
The award Ellen recieved is the Carol Burnett Award, which is given by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for "outstanding contributions to television on or off the screen."
Ellen is only the second person ever to receive the award aside from its namesake.
Actress and fellow comedian Kate McKinnon presented the award to Ellen in a heartfelt and emotional speech.
After a montage of DeGeneres' most memorable moments on television aired, she received a standing ovation from the star-studded audience and gave a hilarious and poignant speech.
Ellen hilariously joked about keeping her speech long, and also about thanking her 'husband named Mark and two kids', which the audience laughed loudly at.
