Terri Irwin has opened up in a recent interview and spoke about her romantic links to actor Russell Crowe. She also spoke about her immediate reaction to Steve's passing.
"We had a deal that if he died first I would keep everything going, so it was never really: 'Am I going to do this?' but it was, 'Oh my goodness, I am actually going to have to do this,'" she told The Courier.
"And I was, to be completely honest, so afraid."
She went on to talk about some of the rumours of romance she's faced since the passing of Steve.
"I have kept track because it's kind of funny… Let's see, apparently it's all the Hogans — that's Paul and Hulk; Russell Crowe, and most recently, it's Richard Wilkins."
"I think the most flattering would be Russell because he is such a good person, and a very good friend to our family, and I actually do really love him because he loved Steve and they were such good friends."
Terri went on to say that after Steve's passing, Russell was one of the very first people to send his condolences.
"It meant a lot and now I kind of feel sorry for him because he is forever being linked to me so I could be cramping his style – same for Richard Wilkins."
Back in 2017 Crowe told an Australian radio show "Terri is one of the greatest women I've ever met in my life without their being implication for intimacy or whatever."
"You know I do love Terri Irwin, I love her kids and I love how she's kept the memory of Steve alive and respected the work that the two of them had begun and she's an absolute champion, but we're not in a relationship," he finished.
