Two months into married life and Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler Powell couldn't be happier! Many fans of the wildlife power couple have been wondering if Bindi planned on changing her last name to match her husband's - now we have the answer!
"I’ve kept Bindi Irwin," she said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I think that for me personally, after dad passed away, it was really important for me to feel close to him, and having his last name means so much to me."
She went on to say that she considered changing her last name but realised "she's an Irwin through and through."
"Chandler has become an Irwin now," she joked. "It has become a part of me. Everyone has their own ideas, but the nice thing is that it's 2020 now. Anything works!"
In a recent post on her Instagram, Bindi also revealed that the paparazzi almost ruined her wedding by flying over their ceremony in a helicopter.
"On our wedding day we were finally about to get married and the paparazzi flew over us in a helicopter scaring our wildlife," she wrote.
"We had to leave our stunning wedding venue on the African Savannah for their safety. I said goodbye to the place I had dreamed of getting married for so many years."
Despite all of that, we're so pleased Bindi and Chandler still found a way to celebrate their special day!
