The Block NZ has revealed three new judges for it's ninth season which starts on the 14th of June. Let's get to know them...
Lauren is an Award-winning real estate manager and also the General manager of Ray White Carpenter Realty. Lauren has been renovating houses for over 20 years and has described herself as a "huge Block NZ fan".
When asked about what she is looking for this season Lauren said "I am not looking for extreme design choices or out of the box ideas. The teams' homes and rooms need to appeal to the widest pool of buyers possible while also creating an emotional connection with as many buyers as possible".
Ann-Louise Hyde is the owner of Hyde Inside Interiors and has worked on luxury homes all over the world. Ann-Louise's love of and fascination for interiors comes from the stately homes and ornate concert halls of Europe, where she played the cello for a living in her 20s.
When asked about what she is looking for this season Ann-Louise said "sufficient space to move around comfortable" and "good thought" put into fixtures, fittings and equipment.
Chris Stevens is an award-winning commercial and interior designer who has worked in the design industry for over twenty years. Chris specialises in high end bars, cafes and restaurants as well as residential spaces.
When asked about what he is looking for this season Chris said "context and consideration however if a room doesn't function as it is intended to, I'll be deducting points for that".
The Block NZ will be hosted by Mark Richardson and Shelley Ferguson and premieres on Monday, June 14 on Three and ThreeNow.
