If you watched Bridgerton Season 1 on Netflix at the start of the year, then you're probably hanging out for Season 2... We are too!
While we were told by Lady Whistledown that Season 2 was well into filming a while ago, we were also hit with the news that Regé-Jean Page, who played the heart-throb Duke of Hastings, was not returning for the second season.
The reason for Page's exit is largely because Season 2 is set to focus on Anthony Bridgerton finding love, rather than Daphne and the Duke's relationship.
However, as revealed by Phoebe Dynevor (the actress behind Daphne) even though the Duke of Hastings will not appear in the new season, he certainly will not be forgotten.
"I think he'll definitely be referred to a lot. I think we'll see the baby," Dynevor teased. "And we'll just focus more on her relationship with the Bridgerton family."
Regardless, Dynevor, promised that the future seasons of Bridgerton will still satisfy fans. "I think that's honestly the joy of the show in the long-term, getting to see these different love stories play out," Dynevor said of what's to come. "And no two seasons will be the same and they'll have a different excitement."
In fact, she further promised that the new seasons will be "really different and magical in its own way."
