For the first time ever, Disney Cruise Line is coming to New Zealand and it looks like fun for the whole family, no seriously, even the adults will love it!

Disney announced at its D23 Expo over the weekend that ‘Disney Magic at Sea’ is bringing the wonderful world of Disney to our shores, where you can experience all of the amazing Disney, Marvel, Pixar and Star Wars characters in one go.

Departing from Auckland in late 2023, the epic experience will take you on the ultimate Disney adventure.

The sail will offer some pretty outstanding experiences including “broadway-quality shows”, themed dining experiences including a Princess Tiana-themed restaurant, and the immersive Animator’s Palate.

One of the most popular restaurants on the Disney ships, Animator's Palate on the Disney Magic is updated with all-new, animation-adorned walls and larger high-definition flat-screens to provide the best views of the animation magic that takes place all around. Let’s not forget the multi-level replica of Andy’s room from ‘Toy Story’ or the Marvel Super Hero Academy.

Don’t worry it isn’t just for the kiddies because there will also be some exclusive adults-only spots to sit back and relax at Quiet Cove Pool, as well as get into full holiday mode at Senses Spa & Salon.

Did someone say a pamper day? You’ll know where all the mums will be!

And… March! Young “recruits” join Corporal Green and the Green Army Soldiers for a fun-filled toy tour of duty during Toy Story Boot Camp in Andy’s Room, a new multi-level youth space on the Disney Magic. Stocked with all of Andy's favorite toys, the room features a giant, working Mr. Potato Head, larger-than-life version of the lovable "Toy Story" piggy bank, Hamm, and Slinky Dog slide, the most fun way to descend to the toy room floor. Josh D'Amaro, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products says, “we are so excited to bring the magic of a Disney cruise vacation close to home for guests in Australia and New Zealand.”

“On these limited-time sailings, the ship is the destination, and our amazing Disney Cruise Line crew can’t wait to welcome guests on board as they are immersed in their favourite stories.”

There are plenty of dates to choose from, with the 11-deck cruise set to sail on November 21st, 25th, 28th, as well as December 1st and 4th of 2023.

Staterooms on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder are designed with nautical décor and plenty of usable space. Designed with style, comfort and a dash of Disney magic, staterooms include generous storage areas and premium bedding and linens. As you can imagine, prices are a tad on the expensive side, starting at about NZD $1245pp  for three nights for an inside stateroom and going up to $2800 NZD for the concierge stateroom with verandah.

Tickets go on sale on September 29th 2022, so you better grab the whole fam for this one!
