WATCH: Nick Carter sobs during heartbreaking tribute to Aaron Carter at Backstreet Boys show

This is hard to watch.

Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter broke down in tears on stage while paying tribute to his younger brother Aaron Carter, who passed away over the weekend.

Aaron Carter was just 34 years old when he was found unresponsive in the bathtub at his California home

Despite the shocking loss of a family member just a day earlier, Nick still performed at a Backstreet Boys show in London on Sunday night (UK time), where the boy band dedicated their song 'No Place' to the late father-of-one.

Fan footage from the concert shows Nick bursting into tears as his bandmate Kevin Richardson addressed the crowd before the song.

“Tonight we’ve got heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday, and we just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize him,” he said.'

"Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter passed away yesterday. He's part of our family."

“We’d like to dedicate this song to our little brother, Aaron Carter. … May he rest in heaven," Howie Dorough added.

Nick's bandmates AJ, Brian and Howie rushed to comfort the singer with hugs as he mourned his brother.

Following Aaron's death, Nick shared an emotional post on Instagram in which he said his love for his little brother had "never ever faded" despite the difficulties the two faced as siblings.

"My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded," he wrote alongside photos of the pair growing up together.

"I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed."

In 2019, Nick Carter and his singer Angel Carter filed a restraining order against Aaron amid a public war of words.

This isn't the first sibling Nick has lost. In 2012, his sister Leslie Carter died at the age of 25 after suffering an apparent drug overdose.

Aaron Carter's cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but the singer-turned-rapper was open about his substance abuse and had multiple stints in rehab.

According to TMZ, Aaron was pulled over by police just three days ago on suspicion of driving under the influence.
