Prince Harry has hinted that he will reveal “the full truth” of his and his wife Meghan’s royal journey in a new trailer for their Netflix docu-series.
The trailer for 'Harry and Meghan' has been released just two days before the first 3 episodes of the documentary launch on the streaming platform.
"It's really hard to look back on it now and go 'what on earth happened?'" Harry begins the trailer before the clip shifts to the public reporting of his and Meghan's relationship in its early stages.
"There's a hierarchy of the family," Harry says over an image of senior royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
He also claims that women who marry into the royal family face extra pressure.
“It’s a dirty game. The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, it's a feeding frenzy."
Meghan can also be heard saying: "I realised they'll never protect you."
Harry suggests that he didn't want his wife to suffer a similar fate to his mother, Princess Diana, who died in a car crash in 1997.
"I didn't want history to repeat itself."
The trailer ends with Harry boldly claiming: “No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”
According to the synopsis, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will “share the other side of their high-profile love story”.
The series will explore the early stages of their private relationship and “the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution".
Friends and family who have never spoken publicly about what they saw and experienced will come forward to discuss what they witnessed. British historians will also have their say on the state of the British Commonwealth and their relationship with the media today.
"The series does more than illuminate one couple's love story, it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other.”
The first three episodes of ‘Harry and Meghan’ will be released on December 8th, with the final three set to release on December 15th.
