We have confirmation that Kate Winslet is one of the nicest stars in Hollywood after a clip of her giving a young journalist an incredible pep talk has gone viral.
Winslet is currently promoting her new film ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ and the young German journalist, Martha, revealed that Kate was her first-ever celebrity interview. The actress was then quick to offer her words of encouragement.
Kate asked: “This is your first time doing it? OK, well guess what? When we do this interview, it’s going to be the most amazing interview ever. And do you know why? Because we’ve decided that it’s going to be.”
“You can ask me anything that you want, and you don’t have to be scared,” the star insists.
“Everything is going to be amazing. OK? You’ve got this. OK, let’s do it!”
Martha continued the interview with ease and appeared to be relaxed and oozed confidence.
To remember the moment, the young journalist even got a selfie with the star at the end of their interview.
And the graciousness that Kate showed the child journalist has struck a chord with those who have watched it with one commenting “she’s so great!”
“This makes me love her lots. What a kind and aware person.”
Even the official Hulu Twitter account had some kind words to say about the actress.
After speaking to Kate, Martha went on to interview the film’s director James Cameron and she appeared to be brimming with confidence throughout their conversation.
It’s amazing to see how that one little act of kindness carried through young Martha and it’s a great reminder to always be kind and leave people better than when you met them.
