Ashley Graham addresses how she felt during that 'uncomfortable' Hugh Grant Oscars interview

She felt "very supported" by fans, who called out the "rude" behaviour.

It was tough watching Ashley Graham attempt to navigate her way through that “uncomfortable” interview with Hugh Grant on the Oscars red carpet host.

In case you missed it, Hugh gave nothing but smart remarks, an eye roll and less enthusiasm than me on a Monday morning during his very short, but not sweet interview.

The chat included Ashley asking Hugh what he was wearing, to which Hugh bluntly responded: “My suit”. In a desperate attempt for her question to be taken seriously, Ashley continued to ask who the designer was, before being met with a begrudging, “my tailor”.

When she asked him what it was liked to act in ‘Glass Onion’, Hugh responded: “Well, I’m barely in it, I was in it for about three seconds.”

However, Ashely has since told TMZ when she was asked about her reaction to the wave of support she has had since the interview: “You know what, my mama told me to kill people with kindness.”

She also said she felt "very supported" by fans, who called out the "rude" behaviour.

When Ashley added: “You had fun though, right?”, Hugh said: “Err... almost“ before he turned away and rolled his eyes.

Hugh’s reactions to Ashley during their chat saw it branded “uncomfortable” by fans.

Fans noticed the awkward interaction and were quick to make their thoughts known on Twitter.

“And the Oscar for the guy who totally doesn't want to be there goes to Hugh Grant,” joked one user.

Another asked: “Was that Hugh Grant interview the most uncomfortable thing ever?!?”

Even RollingStone admitted they saw how awkward the interview was.

Though it is up there with the most awkward celebrity interactions ever, it's great to see that Ashley let the "kindness" shine as she handled it in such an admirable way. Hopefully, her next celebrity interview doesn't go so awry.
