Miley Cyrus tells off Grammy Awards audience mid-performance for not knowing 'Flowers'

The singer wasn't hiding her true feelings!

Miley Cyrus can buy herself flowers, but she needed to tell the 2024 Grammy Awards audience to sing her hit song.

The 31-year-old singer called out to the crowd during the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles when she realised they weren't participating enough during her performance of 'Flowers', telling them "Why you acting like you don't know this song?"

After Miley encouraged the crowd to sing along, the camera panned to fellow celebrities Taylor Swift and Kelsea Ballerini who were visibly dancing and singing along to the pop star.

Miley won her first ever Grammy award earlier that evening when she was awarded 'Best Pop Solo Performance' for Flowers, followed by 

Handed the award by pop icon Mariah Carey, Miley gushed over receiving the award from the legendary singer.

“This M.C. is gonna stand by this M.C. for this because this is just too iconic,” Miley shared in her acceptance speech.

"Oh my god I just got stuck in the rain in traffic and thought I was going to miss this moment. I could miss the award but I can’t miss Mariah Carey.”

The singer also won 'Record of the Year' for 'Flowers', and quipped “My life was beautiful yesterday. So please don’t think this is important. Even though it’s very important.” 

She then gave several thank-yous before saying “I don’t think I’ve forgotten anyone, but I might have forgotten underwear.”
