Queenstown, Wānaka and Central Otago's finest restaurants have been highlighted in a list of 250 eateries featured in the upcoming Cuisine Good Food Guide for 2023/2024.
A judging panel featuring 40 leading food writers, critics, chefs and hospitality-industry professionals across Aotearoa took part in collating this year's list, which will see a number of eateries given the prestigious 'hat' - an equivalent to the well-sought Michelin star rating restaurants use overseas.
The local restaurants that feature in this year's list include:
Queenstown:
- The Cow Queenstown
- The Bathhouse
- Jervois Steakhouse
- Amisfield
- Rata
- Botswana Butchery
- Sherwood
Arrowtown:
- Aosta
Wānaka
- Paloma Taqueria
- Mutton Bird
- Arc
- Bistro Gentil
The category winners, including the top chef and restaurant awards will be announced on August 7.
