Ask anyone living in Tāmaki Makaurau and they’ll say they reside in NZ’s foodie capital.

I don’t know if that’s right, but there’s now a list of all the best dishes in the City of Sails that you can check out and decide for yourself. 

The dishes in the list, put together by Iconic Eats, were all put forward by Aucklanders. As a Jaffa myself, I can vouch that there are some absolutely delicious options nominated here. 

Many Kiwis have already heard the praise for Depot's famous fish sliders, but can personally recommend Gochu's milk bun, which also made the list. I had it on my birthday three weeks ago and am still thinking about it. 

One of the more unique dishes on the list is Sneaky Snacky's hot chicken donut burger, which replaces the standard buns with glazed donuts. So yeah, if you can dream it, it's probably on here.
