Kiwis have tried to sell some incredibly weird items over the past two-and-a-half decades and TradeMe is now spilling on which listings have been the strangest.
The online auction site is celebrating its 25th birthday this year and has shared the 25 ‘most iconic listings’ in its history.
My personal favourite is the “spa boat”, which went for $9,538 because who wouldn't love a dip in the ocean without actually getting in the ocean? Another has to be Bernie the quirky yellow fire engine.
Someone also once listed Australia, and it didn’t sell. There are also a few genuinely cool things, like the Cardborghini Aventapoor - a Lamborghini made of cardboard - and the Sky Tower made from MIQ trash, which is exactly what it sounds like.
