It's been two years since we've heard a new single from Kiwi music legends BROODS, but the sibling duo are back with Piece Of My Mind, the first taste of the beloved sibling duo’s fourth album Space Island.

What inspired your new song ‘Piece of my Mind’?
It's inspired by escapism, and writing from yourself. I feel like we've all been in that place where we know we need to change something in our lives, but it seems way too scary - so we choose to escape into our own worlds or into our addiction to TV 
What is your proudest musical moment?
The one thing that comes to mind was after a show in Brisbane, somebody came up to the merch desk while we were signing things and said "I don't want anything signed, I don't want a picture, I just wanted to tell you that your music saved my life." And that keeps me going all the time.
What’s the Kiwi song you’re loving at the moment?
Definitely The Secret's Out by Rita May, an artist from Dunedin I think? I don't actually know... It's a really cool song, very dark folk vibes, love it!
Who’s one artist you would love to collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with Robyn, the queen of sad pop music, I love her!
