Cassie Henderson is fast cementing her name in the Kiwi music industry and it's with thanks to her new single 'Tainted'.
'Tainted' ‘Tainted’ is her first song that “kind of just wrote itself”. and it tells the all too familiar story of the final days of a relationship – the anguish and desperation of someone who knows it’s over, but still trying to figure out a way to make it work.
Where do you call home?
Currently, I’m studying in Dunedin but Christchurch will always be home for me!
What inspired your new song 'Tainted’?
Generally I write songs from personal experiences, so Tainted was based on some of the struggles I went through during a relationship coming to an end!
What's your proudest musical moment?
Hearing Tainted for the first time on Spotify! It was such a long process getting to that point, and mum and I stayed up till midnight to hear it come out. Was quite an emotional moment for me.
What's a Kiwi song you're loving at the moment?
We have such amazing Kiwi music coming out at the moment, and I feel like I’ve only just started to really appreciate it! I'm loving a duo called There’s A Tuesday. Their song called Sound Of The Stars is beautiful.
What's one artist you would love to collaborate with?
I would dream to collaborate with Labrinth. He has such a smooth voice, and I love his music.
