Where do you call home?
Definitely New Zealand. I was brought up in the Waikato and I'm definitely a small town girl. Wherever I go in the world, I know I'll end up back in NZ.
What inspired your new song 'Passenger Seat'?
This idea came to me after a conversation with a loved one. They weren't really enjoying the career they were in at the time and felt like they were just going through the motions without really enjoying life which lead me to writing this song. I had the phrase 'Passenger Seat' in the back of my mind a little while before that and thought it would tie in well with this particular idea. I wanted to write from a perspective of someone who will be alongside this person no matter what they choose to do and will always be in the 'Passenger Seat'.
What's your proudest musical moment?
I'm most proud of releasing this song. It's not the most extraordinary thing I've done but I worked really hard not only on releasing this single but also in the last year. I feel proud to have done it independently and it's so exciting to see the awesome response it's getting.
What's a Kiwi song you're loving at the moment?
Long Gone - Six60. Such a good tune!
What's one artist you would love to collaborate with?
I'd love to collaborate with country duo, Dan + Shay. That would be a dream! I've literally dreamed about it.
