Stranger shows up and takes rejected boy to homecoming dance

Daniel, 17, has Down Syndrome and dreamed of going to his homecoming dance but was sadly turned down by every girl he asked.

Kylie, a 10th grader (NZ year 11) decided it was time to step up and ask Daniel herself, and her simple act of kindness prompted a night of surprises no one could have imagined!

Kylie said to Fox 5, “I don’t think of kids that have a disability… I don’t think of them as being different.”

Daniel’s mum, Tonya was stunned beyond belief by Kylie’s incredible gesture. “It’s not about that Daniel has a disability. It’s Kylie didn’t see any disability. That is what your heart wants as a mum.”

The team at the FOX5 Surprise Squad caught wind of the story and were very impressed by Kylie’s sweet and simple act of kindness. So, they decided to show up before the homecoming dance to deliver multiple life changing surprises.
