People who love chocolate are more likely to be intelligent

A recent study has found that people who consume a lot of cocoa and chocolate tend to have a higher level of intelligence.

The study showed that those who ate a higher amount of chocolate were “significantly associated with better performance on [cognitive tests including] visual-spatial memory and organisation, working memory, scanning and tracking, abstract reasoning, and the mini-mental state examination”.

The researchers also stated the findings supported other studies that claimed the “regular intake of cocoa flavanols may have a beneficial effect on cognitive function, and possibly protect against normal age-related cognitive decline.”

And if you love a chocolate biscuit but suffer a bit of tummy wind, it also is said to be a great help with those bowel movements.

Take it as an excuse to have an extra piece of chocolate today!

But if you need a place to hide your chocolate, may we suggest what one clever mum did to hide hers from her family in an inconspicuous place at home.
