Nineties kids rejoice! Arnold, Gerald, Helga and Phoebe will be returning to screens this time as very grown up sixth graders.
After years of planning, Hey Arnold! The Jungle Movie is set to be released in November this year.
A new promo video for the film was dropped today, in which series creator Craig Bartlett gives some hints on what excited fans can expect from the new movie.
"For our characters, it's going to play like it's only been one or two years even though it's really been 15 or 20," Bartlett said.
He says after many years of trying, it's "the movie [he] always wanted to make."
Hey Arnold ran on Nickelodeon from 1994-2004 following the adventures of Arnold, his classmates, and his grandparents and the residents who lived in their boarding house. Fans might remember that the series ended Arnold discovering an old journal which held clues over what happened to his parents. Bartlett says that plot is picked up in the new flick, as Arnold and his now sixth grade classmates head to the jungles of South America on a field trip.
