A recent study from ONS in the UK has found that women tend to lead happier lives and in general are more satisfied.
The study got a large amount of people to answer a series of questions and used a scale of 0 - 10 to answer, 0 being not at all and 10 being completely. The questions were...
Overall, how satisfied are you with your life nowadays?
Overall, to what extent do you feel the things you do in your life are worthwhile?
Overall, how happy did you feel yesterday?
Overall, how anxious did you feel yesterday?
The results showed that why women rated their life satisfaction and happiness higher than men, they also suffered much higher levels of anxiety.
Speaking about the results, one of the researchers said "factors such as people’s social connections and health status play an important part in personal well-being," the study said.
When the study began back in 2011, those in their late teens were the happiest but now the results have drastically shifted and those in their 70s are both the least anxious and the happiest.
